Career Summary

Dr. Ali Ahmed completed his degree in Computer Engineering at Karary University, Khartoum, Sudan (1996 - 2001). He received his Master degree in Computer Science from University of Khartoum, Khartoum, Sudan (2001 - 2003). He pursued his PhD in Computer Science at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Skudai, Malaysia (2010 - 2014). Immediately after PhD, he joined as a researcher at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) under Post-Doctoral Fellowship for one year contract, also he has taught both undergraduate and postgraduate level in the subjects related to Artificial Intelligence, Programming, Classification & Cluster Analysis and Fundamental of Image Processing. His research interest includes Data mining, Soft Computing and Information Retrieval, Cheminformatics & virtual screening, Digital Image Processing and Clustering & Classification Analysis of Biological & Medical images & data. Professional Certificates: 200-120 CCNA Cisco Certified Network Associate (803), in May 2013 Oracle Database 11g Administrator Certified Associate (OCA), in June 2012 Experience: Teaching Undergraduate and Postgraduate level courses related to Information System, Data Mining, Databases, Image Processing and Programming Fundamentals. Working as Group Leader and Group Member in the research area related to Data Mining, Information Retrieval, Image Processing and Medical Image Classification.
